## Concept

**Cascade** is a bounded social network built on the reality of finite human social capacity. Not infinite reach — **126 hexes** in a honeycomb lattice, growing organically from your inner circle. You plant 6. The field responds. The cascade does the rest.

Built on the 3-6-9 pattern (Nikola Tesla's key to the universe): every ring is a multiple of 3, every digit sum resolves to 3, 6, or 9.

**The pitch:** *"Room for 126. Grown from 6."*

**Name:** Cascade
**Tagline:** *"Tend your constellation."*
**URL potential:** Cascade.social / Cascade.app / WeCascade.io

---

## The 126 Number

- **126 hexes** surround the user (functional + symbolic)
- **+1 center hex** = YOU
- **= 127 total nodes** (Dunbar ceiling maintained)
- **126 is triangular** (15×16/2 = 120+6) — tiles hex grid without gaps or overflow
- **Numerology:** 1+2+6 = 9 — humanitarian, compassionate, spiritually grounded
- **Angel number meaning:** Trust. The universe orchestrates. Nurture your connections.
- **Target audience:** People drawn to metaphysical metaphors, numerology, constellation imagery — the "spiritual but not woo" demographic

---

## The 3-6-9 Pattern

> *"If you knew the magnificence of the 3, 6, and 9, you would have a key to the universe."*
> — Nikola Tesla

Tesla believed 3, 6, 9 were the fundamental pattern behind all energy — doubling, folding, vibrating. Every ring in Cascade is built on this pattern:

```
Ring sizes (all multiples of 3):
  R1 =  6 = 3 × 2
  R2 = 12 = 3 × 4
  R3 = 18 = 3 × 6
  R4 = 24 = 3 × 8
  R5 = 30 = 3 × 10
  R6 = 36 = 3 × 12
  Digit-reduced root numbers:
  6→6, 12→3, 18→9, 24→6, 30→3, 36→9
  Pattern: 6-3-9-6-3-9 repeating
  126 → 1+2+6 = 9 (root 9 — humanitarian completion)
  127 → 1+2+7 = 10 → 1 (root 1 — individual pioneer)
```

Every ring resolves to 3, 6, or 9. Every ring is a Tesla number. The lattice is not arbitrary — it mirrors the structure of energy itself.

## Ring Architecture

| Ring | Size | Angel # | Root | Name | Nature | Assignment |
|------|------|---------|------|------|--------|------------|
| R0 | 1 | — | — | YOU | The center | Fixed |
| R1 | 6 | 6 | 6 | **Inner Circle** | People — real, named, irreplaceable | Manual + permanent (locked) |
| R2 | 12 | 12 | 3 | **Archetypes** | Roles — patterns you attract | Manual |
| R3 | 18 | 18 | 9 | **The Longing** | Emotional voids — what connection *means* | Auto-fill from R1 circulation |
| R4 | 24 | 24 | 6 | **The Echo** | Resonance returns — what comes back transformed | Auto from creative output |
| R5 | 30 | 30 | 3 | **The Wave** | Two Echoes moving together | Auto from Echo convergence |
| R6 | 36 | 36 | 9 | **The Current** | The ambient field — ambient presence, shared context | Auto from Wave alignment |

**126 total surrounding hexes.**

---

## Ring 1 — Inner Circle (6)

**Permanent. Locked. These are your 6.**

Ring 1 is permanent by design — if someone's inner circle is shifting regularly, they're either in crisis or they're a troll. The permanence creates weight. These 6 hexes are the anchors of your constellation.

You claim them manually, one time. They go in the 6 adjacent hexes around your center. Claiming is bidirectional — they have to claim you back for the bond to register.

If a Ring 1 bond dissolves permanently, that hex goes **dim** (dormant, not deleted). It cannot be refilled. The empty hex stands as a marker.

---

## Ring 2 — Archetypes (12)

**Jungian. Roles, not people.**

Ring 2 holds 12 archetypal roles — the kinds of relational energy that show up in your life. A single person can fill multiple archetypes. The archetype is the slot; you assign people (or groups, or even pets) to fill it.

Ring 2 is manually curated. You choose who goes in which archetype.

| # | Archetype | Role Energy |
|---|-----------|-------------|
| 1 | **The Hero** | Challenges you to grow, compete, prove yourself |
| 2 | **The Innocent** | Pure, trusting, uncomplicated joy |
| 3 | **The Explorer** | Takes you into the unknown, new experiences |
| 4 | **The Creator** | Makes things, aesthetic presence |
| 5 | **The Ruler** | Authority, structure, leadership |
| 6 | **The Caregiver** | Nurtures, protects, gives without expecting |
| 7 | **The Lover** | Intimacy, belonging, desire for closeness |
| 8 | **The Jester** | Lightness, humor, prevents taking yourself too seriously |
| 9 | **The Sage** | Truth, wisdom, helps you understand |
| 10 | **The Magician** | Vision, transformation, makes the impossible happen |
| 11 | **The Outlaw** | Disrupts, rebels, forces change |
| 12 | **The Explorer** | Peace, acceptance, spiritual depth |

---

## Ring 3 — The Longing (18)

**Emotional voids. What connection *means*.**

Ring 3 is not a tier of people — it's a map of what's missing. Mainstream social media is architecturally incapable of addressing these voids: it rewards performance, not presence; accumulation, not tending. Ring 3 names what we actually *long for* in connection.

You fill Ring 3 not by adding friends, but by articulating what you need. The hexes appear as you name them. They pulse when something in your life activates that longing.

| # | Emotional Void |
|---|---------------|
| 1 | Being remembered |
| 2 | Being missed |
| 3 | Mattering to someone specific |
| 4 | Reciprocal time |
| 5 | Celebrated in low moments |
| 6 | Noticed when absent |
| 7 | Chosen not accumulated |
| 8 | Presence that registers |
| 9 | Being known vs. known of |
| 10 | Safe to be needy |
| 11 | Someone who reaches back |
| 12 | Grief witnessed |
| 13 | Joy witnessed |
| 14 | Quiet attention |
| 15 | Not performing |
| 16 | Being believed |
| 17 | Having an advocate |
| 18 | A witness to your life |

---

## Ring 4 — The Echo (24)

**Resonance returns. What comes back transformed.**

Ring 4 is not "who messaged you back" — that's algorithmic. Ring 4 is what comes back *changed by passing through the other person*. You share something real — a thought, a question, a piece of your work. The Echo is the return on that signal, amplified by contact with someone else's interior.

You mark an Echo when: someone responds to your creative output and the response has depth — it's not a like, it's a return.

The 24 slots correspond to the 24-hour cycle. Echoes are confirmed over a full day — the resonance takes time to return.

---

## Ring 5 — The Wave (30)

**Two Echoes moving together.**

Ring 5 emerges when two of your Echoes start moving toward the same interest, project, or direction — not because you introduced them, but because your constellation is coherent. The Wave is the ring of third-order emergence: two returns starting to synchronize.

The 30 slots correspond to the 30-day month. Waves are confirmed over a month of shared direction — the alignment takes time to crystallize.

---

## Ring 6 — The Current (36)

**The ambient field. Shared context. Ambient presence.**

Ring 6 is the outermost ring — the 36 surrounding hexes that represent the ambient social context you inhabit without actively tending. The people who share your world without being specifically assigned to you. The current you swim in. The people you know *of* but haven't directly claimed. Groups, communities, crowds.

The 36 slots correspond to 36 weeks of a pregnancy — gestation, the time it takes for something to gestate from shared context into something more. The Current holds your social atmosphere.

---

## Cascade Mechanics

The core mechanic: **you plant your inner ring; the outer rings grow themselves.**

### Phase 1 — Seed + Claim (Manual)
- User's center hex is the seed (YOU)
- User manually claims their **Ring 1 — the Inner Circle** (6 hexes max)
- This is a one-time explicit action — "these are my people"
- Ring 1 assignment is permanent unless a bond dissolves
- User manually assigns **Ring 2 — Archetypes** (12 slots, can be people or groups)

### Phase 2 — Organic Cascade (Automatic)
Everything beyond Ring 2 emerges from how your Ring 1 and Ring 2 circulate. The system does NOT track clicks, views, DMs, or time spent. It tracks only what you explicitly mark as resonance:

| You Mark | System Reads As | Cascade Result |
|----------|----------------|----------------|
| A Ring 1 person claims you back | Mutual bond | They also appear in your **Ring 2** |
| You share something real and mark it | Creative output sent | Await Echo return |
| Someone responds to your output and marks it | Echo return received | **Ring 4 candidate** |
| Two of your Ring 4 Echoes start moving together | Wave convergence | **Ring 5 candidate** |
| Ring 5 Waves persist over 30 days | Current stabilization | **Ring 6** |
| A shared node (group, place, interest) appears across multiple Ring 1+ bonds | Ghost hex appears | User approves or dismisses |

### Phase 3 — Maintenance Rhythm
- Hexes pulse when they need attention
- When a connection drifts, its hex dims
- When a new person enters your orbit, a ghost hex appears — approve or dismiss
- The constellation is alive — it breathes, it grows, it fades

---

## UX Language

### What We Say vs. What We Mean

| Academic | Mass Market |
|----------|-------------|
| Dunbar's number (~150) | "Your world has room for ~126 people — that's just how human connection works" |
| Relationship tier churn rate | "This connection is getting stale — time to water it" |
| Hexagonal lattice topology | Honeycomb grid — universally satisfying, zero learning curve |
| Bidirectional bond formation | "They have to claim you back for it to count" |
| Emergent ring assignment | "Your network grows where you spend time" |
| Connection frequency threshold | "You've been talking to them enough to make it official" |
| Creative output marked as such | "You shared something that mattered" |
| Echo return marked as such | "They sent it back with depth" |

### Core Metaphor
**"Tend your constellation."**

You have 126 hexes arranged as a honeycomb around your center hex. Most are empty. You start by placing your 6 closest people in the inner ring. Then your constellation grows itself — when you message someone often, when two of your close people connect, when a group you both belong to starts showing up — hexes appear automatically in the outer rings.

### The Selling Point
**"Creating resonance, not just making connections."**

Most social networks measure reach. Cascade measures return.

## Terminology

| Term | Definition |
|------|------------|
| **Cascade** | The platform itself — the organic growth sequence from inner circle outward |
| **Constellation** | Your entire 126-hex network (you at center) |
| **Bloom** | Fill an entire ring (Ring 1 full = "First Bloom") |
| **Tidemark** | Hit 100+ active connections — your personal high-water mark |
| **Ghost Hex** | A candidate hex that appeared automatically — awaiting your approval |
| **Claim** | Place someone in your Ring 1 — explicit, manual, mutual |
| **Mark** | Explicitly tag a signal as resonance (shared something real, received something back) |
| **Circulate** | The organic process by which outer rings fill from Ring 1 activity |
| **Water** | Respond to a nudge to rekindle a drifting connection |
| **Dim** | A hex goes quiet when the connection fades — not deleted, just dormant |
| **Glow** | A hex pulses when it needs attention |
| **Pulse** | The ambient activity indicator of a hex |

---

## Audience

Cascade appeals to three distinct audiences who arrive through different gates:

| Audience | What Pulls Them In | What Seals the Deal |
|----------|-------------------|-------------------|
| **Privacy libertarian** | Hard ceiling (126), anti-surveillance, user-controlled cascade | "No algorithm decides who matters" |
| **Esoteric researcher** | 3-6-9 pattern, triangular geometry, Jungian archetypes, angel numbers | "The lattice is not arbitrary — it mirrors the structure of meaning itself" |
| **Artist/dreamer** | The Longing, resonance language, organic emergence, tending your constellation | "You don't grow a network — you grow a world" |

---

## Mystical Layer

The platform draws a spiritual audience through numerology and constellation imagery:

- **126 as angel number:** Trust. The universe handles the details. Nurture your connections.
- **126 as triangular number:** Close-packed, complete, no gaps — a perfect structure.
- **3-6-9 as Tesla's key:** The pattern behind all energy — the lattice is physically fundamental.
- **Hex as sacred geometry:** The hexagon appears in nature (honeycomb, snowflakes, crystal lattices) — feels ancient, balanced, real.
- **Constellation as self-model:** You are the center; everything else orbits you. Empowering and legible.
- **Growing vs. building:** You don't "construct" a network — you "tend" it. Growth is natural, not mechanical.

---

## The Game Layer

| Achievement | Trigger |
|-------------|---------|
| **First Bloom** | Fill Ring 1 (6/6 claimed) |
| **Echo** | Mark your first creative output |
| **Return** | Receive your first Echo return |
| **Full Constellation** | Fill all 6 rings |
| **Tidemark** | 100+ active hexes |
| **Mutual** | A Ring 1 claim is returned |
| **Orbit** | A Ring 2 connection becomes Ring 1 |
| **Constellation Keeper** | Maintain all 6 rings at healthy activity for 30 days |
| **Bloom Master** | Fill Ring 1–3 completely |
| **Honeycomb** | Fill an entire hexagonal sub-structure (7 hexes clustered) |
| **Wave Rider** | Two Echoes start moving together in your constellation |

---

## Structural Gaps to Explore

| Territory | Question |
|-----------|----------|
| Shared nodes | If a hex is shared between two users' constellations, does it cost slots for both? |
| Ring 1 permanence | Can Ring 1 ever be undone, or is it truly permanent? |
| The 126 ceiling | Does the ceiling grow over time (trust builds capacity) or is it fixed? |
| Ghost hex decay | If a ghost hex is never approved, does it fade? |
| Offline weight | Does time-zone proximity or physical distance affect ring assignment? |
| Echo threshold | What constitutes "enough depth" to confirm an Echo? Can it be gaming? |
| Wave confirmation | What counts as "two Echoes moving together"? |
| The Current | Does Ring 6 require any active tending, or is it purely ambient? |
