# Experiments in Distributed Consciousness and Resonance

A practical research menu connecting E. R. John’s field theory of consciousness, Metaversalist hypotheses, and the ghojualamanchu cognitive architecture.

## Epistemic boundary

These experiments separate three layers:

1. **Established or established-adjacent neuroscience:** distributed neural activity, synchrony, perception, memory, autonomic regulation, and anesthesia-related changes.
2. **Testable Metaversalist interpretations:** resonance, observer–environment coupling, persistent patterns, relational coherence, and information loss.
3. **Speculative cosmology:** a Cosmic Neutrino Background memory substrate, Fe-57 consciousness gating, DNA as a cosmic antenna, and related claims.

John’s methods can directly address the first layer and parts of the second. They cannot, by themselves, establish the third.

## Experiment menu

| ID | Experiment | Primary question | Readiness |
|---|---|---|---|
| E1 | Distributed Binding and Aesthetic Resonance | Do experienced consonance and dissonance correspond to reproducible distributed neural patterns? | Near-term |
| E2 | Resonance-Frequency Perception | Do rhythmic or frequency-tagged stimuli produce predicted phase-locking and perceptual effects? | Near-term |
| E3 | Observer–Environment Coupling | Does environmental structure modulate neural and autonomic coherence beyond intensity and expectation? | Near-term |
| E4 | Memory Reinstatement and Endogenous Patterns | Do learned patterns reappear during ambiguous perception and predict interpretation? | Near-term |
| E5 | Coherence, Choice, and Erasure Cost | Do retention, revision, and binary choice have measurable energetic or autonomic signatures? | Near-term |
| E6 | Distributed Group Coherence | Do coordinated groups show information-persistence effects beyond isolated participants? | Medium-term |
| E7 | Circadian and Geophysical Covariates | Do biological coherence measures track solar, geomagnetic, or environmental variables after ordinary confounds are controlled? | Medium-term |
| E8 | Cosmic-Substrate Tests | Is there any residual signal requiring a neutrino or non-EM substrate explanation? | Long-term / institutional |

## Recommended order

Start with **E1**, **E2**, and **E4**. They stay close to John’s empirical program and can produce interpretable results without assuming the Metaversalist cosmology is true. Add E3 and E5 once the measurement pipeline is stable. Treat E6 and E7 as preregistered extensions, not confirmations. E8 should only follow a precise physical prediction and independent instrumentation plan.

## Safety and ethics

Use noninvasive recording. Obtain informed consent and institutional review where human participants are involved. Do not expose participants to unsafe electromagnetic fields, sleep deprivation, extreme sensory conditions, or unvalidated “neutrino” devices. Do not interpret synchrony as proof of consciousness, telepathy, cosmic coupling, or moral alignment.
