## Overview

Anthrocybernetics is built on a **five-field framework** — five sub-fields unified by a shared vocabulary. Each sub-field maps to a core systems concept with precise technical meaning.

## The Five Fields

### Phase — Somative Anthrocybernetics

**Core Claim:** The body is a phase-locked oscillator network. Bioelectric coherence = health. Disease = drift or rupture.

**What It Means:**
In coupled oscillator physics, "phase" describes the timing relationship between oscillating systems. **What It Means:**
A "forcing field" in dynamical systems is an external influence that shapes internal oscillator behavior. ### Arc — Aesthetic Anthrocybernetics

**Core Claim:** The artist–artwork–audience triad is a three-body coupled oscillator achieving aesthetic resonance.

**What It Means:**
An electrical arc occurs when voltage exceeds the breakdown threshold of the medium — suddenly, current flows through ionized air. Similarly, aesthetic resonance occurs when the artist–work–audience triad becomes a system where energy flows across gaps that normally don't conduct. The "work" is the ionization channel.
