# Anthrocybernetics Course — Standard Operating Procedure

**Version 1.0 | 2026-06-11 | Draft for Comment**

---

## Overview

**Anthrocybernetics** is the study of human-machine hybrid systems. The course teaches a five-field framework for diagnosing, designing, and transforming organizations, teams, and social systems.

**Core claim:** Consciousness/energy and biochemistry are **simultaneous expressions** of the same underlying process — two views of one phenomenon, not cause and effect. The framework builds on peer-reviewed research across cell biology, biofield measurement, EM frequency medicine, consciousness philosophy, and condensed matter physics.

## What the Course Teaches

### The Five-Field Framework

| Field | Sub-field | Core Question |
|-------|-----------|---------------|
| **Phase** | Somative Anthrocybernetics | "Are we healthy enough to function?" |
| **Field** | Ecological Anthrocybernetics | "What surrounds and shapes us?" |
| **Arc** | Aesthetic Anthrocybernetics | "What ignites us?" |
| **Form** | Morphological Anthrocybernetics | "What pattern persists?" |
| **Lattice** | Organizational Anthrocybernetics | "How are we arranged?" |

**The Feeds Cycle (Growth):**
```
Phase → Field → Arc → Form → Lattice → Phase
```

**The Regulates Cycle (Equilibrium):**
```
Phase ⸳ Arc ⸳ Lattice ⸳ Field ⸳ Form ⸳ Phase
```

**Pathologies:**
- **Overdrives** — regulator too strong (crushes the next element)
- **Backflows** — controlled too weak (leaks backward)

### The Nine-Brain Architecture

The course uses a **nine-brain cognitive architecture** as both metaphor and diagnostic tool:

| Brain | Function | Low Score = |
|-------|----------|-------------|
| **Medulla** | Heartbeat, survival | Financial/operational instability |
| **R-Complex** | Territory, security | Role confusion, boundary failures |
| **Thalamus** | Communication routing | Information silos |
| **Amygdala** | Salience, threat/reward | Poor morale, misaligned incentives |
| **Hippocampus** | Memory, learning | Knowledge loss, repeated mistakes |
| **Cortex** | Prediction, strategy | Unclear vision, reactive mode |
| **Limbic** | Bonding, relationships | Trust deficits |
| **Akashic** | Presence, witnessing | Denial culture, elephant-in-room |
| **Lethe** | Absence, letting go | Repeated failures, unprocessed grief |

Each brain corresponds to an organizational domain. The diagnostic yields a **radar chart** (0-10 per domain) and prioritized actions.

### The YAERU Protocol

A five-token consent protocol for group decision-making:

| Token | Question | Purpose |
|-------|----------|---------|
| **A**nchor | "Where are we?" | Location + metaphor of system state |
| **Y**es | "Are we good to proceed?" | Consent verification (dissent space) |
| **E**dge | "What's in/out of scope?" | Boundary setting |
| **R**esponsibility | "Who owns what, by when?" | Action clarity |
| **U**tgarde | "What did we learn?" | Retrospective + what to forget |

---

## Course Structure

### Modules

| Module | Topic | Weeks |
|--------|-------|-------|
| **1** | Architecture of Communication | 1 |
| **2** | The Organism Model | 1 |
| **3** | Resonance Fields in Practice | 1 |
| **4** | Five-Field Integration | 1 |
| **5** | Applied Organizational Assessment | 1 |
| **6** | The YAERU Protocol | 1 |

**Pacing:** 6-week cohort, ~3 hours/week per student.

---

### Deliverables

Each student produces a **Practitioner Workbook** containing:

1. Personal systems map (cascade diagram, brain architecture, pathology spot)
2. Case study diagnostic (six-fold assessment of chosen subject)
3. Field measurement report (WaterStorage 9-phase protocol)
4. YAERU session log (at least one completed session)
5. Cascade account setup (ring progression started)

---

## Three Tracks + Bundle

### Track 1: Practitioner Path ($591)

**For:** Consultants, facilitators, coaches

**Courses:**
- Foundations ($197)
- Organizational Assessment ($197)
- YAERU Protocol ($197)

**Deliverable:** Personal systems map + assessment report + YAERU documentation

---

### Track 2: Leadership Path ($394)

**For:** Executives, founders, senior managers

**Courses:**
- Foundations ($197)
- Organizational Assessment ($197)

**Deliverable:** Personal systems map + assessment of your own organization

---

### Track 3: Technical Path ($591 + $300 equipment)

**For:** Engineers, measurement specialists, field technicians

**Courses:**
- Foundations ($197)
- Field Measurement ($197)
- Five-Field Communication ($197)

**Deliverable:** Personal systems map + field measurement report + communication audit

---

### Bundle: Full Framework Path ($797)

**All five courses** at package discount.

**Unlocks:** Final Project option — design and execute a capstone project at your chosen scale, using all three lenses (practitioner, leadership, technical).

---

## Integration: Cascade

**What it is:** A shared progress-tracking template for cohorts.

**How it works:**
- Every student uses the **same Cascade ring structure** (R1-R6)
- Students can compare notes across the cohort
- Progress is visible at a glance
- Cohort resonance becomes trackable

**Cascade's role:** The common operating system for the cohort. Not a product the course sells — the *infrastructure the course runs on*.

---

## Integration: WaterStorage

**What it is:** A 9-phase information architecture framework.

**How it's used in the course:**
- Provides the underlying physics for how information flows through organizations
- Maps onto both the Five Fields and the Nine Brains
- The Field Measurement module explicitly uses WaterStorage phases

**WaterStorage's role:** The information-theoretic foundation that makes the framework systematic rather than intuitive.

---

## Final Project Logic

**Who qualifies:** Anyone who completes the Full Framework Path (all five courses).

**What they do:** Design and execute a capstone project at their chosen scale.

**Scale options:**
- Small: Single team or process
- Medium: Department or organization
- Large: Multi-organization system (Honeycomb Town scale)

**Constraints:**
- Must use all five fields
- Must use the nine-domain assessment
- Must include at least one YAERU session
- Must include field measurement (WaterStorage lens)

**tenchi's example:** Honeycomb Town — the physical settlement tenchi has dreamed of building. Shared as example, not requirement.

---

## Notes for Reviewers

**Open questions:**
1. Is the three-track structure clear?
2. Is the pricing appropriate for the market?
3. Is the Cascade integration explained well enough?
4. Is the WaterStorage integration explained well enough?
5. Is the distinction between Cascade and student projects clear?
6. What's missing from this foundation?
