# Game Crafter Cards — Watershed v0.1

## Phase cards

Create ten identical-format phase cards. Only W01 and W02 are active in the first prototype.

Each card contains:

- phase ID;
- phase name;
- basin zone;
- available action;
- requirement;
- success delta;
- blocked delta;
- one-sentence watershed reading.

## Active cards

### W01 — Evaporate

- **Zone:** Ocean / surface water
- **Requirement:** Energy 1+ and pollution 0–4
- **Success:** Move to W02; spend 1 Energy; add 1 Flow; advance Cycle 1.
- **Blocked:** Stay at W01; add 1 Pressure; remove 1 Health.
- **Reading:** Sun lifts water from the surface; burdened or energy-poor water cannot rise cleanly.

### W02 — Condense

- **Zone:** Clouds / atmosphere
- **Requirement:** Flow 1+ and Energy 1+
- **Success:** Move to W01; spend 1 Flow and 1 Energy; add 1 Cloud; advance Cycle 1.
- **Blocked:** Stay at W02; add 1 Pressure; remove 1 Health.
- **Reading:** Moving vapor gathers into a held cloud; without movement and energy, the cloud cannot form.

## Reserved cards

Print the following names as inactive placeholders so the physical system can grow without changing its vocabulary:

- W03 — Precipitate
- W04 — Streamline
- W05 — Infiltrate
- W06 — Store
- W07 — Treat
- W08 — Release
- W09 — Return
- W10 — Seed

Mark them **RESERVED — NOT IN V0.1**. Do not assign deltas yet.

## Player aid text

1. Read the current phase card.
2. Check its requirement.
3. If met, apply Success exactly.
4. If not met, apply Blocked exactly.
5. Record the action in the trace strip.
6. If Health reaches 0, mark Basin Collapse; continue only for testing.

## Print guidance

- Prototype cards: 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
- Use a high-contrast front with a plain text back.
- Keep the phase ID large enough to read across the table.
- Put deltas in a boxed section so the physical card cannot be mistaken for flavor text.
