## Core Philosophy

The honeycomb town is a **living settlement architecture** — not a fixed plan, but a pattern language that allows communities to grow, shrink, and reorganize organically while maintaining structural integrity, resource efficiency, and social cohesion.

1. **Cellular Modularity** — Every unit is a complete hexagonal cell that can function independently or connect to neighbors
2. **Edge-First Growth** — New cells attach at the perimeter; contraction happens from the outermost edges inward
3. **Resource Gravity** — Shared infrastructure (water, energy, food) flows toward the center; waste flows outward for processing
4. **Social Permeability** — Boundaries between cells are porous — physical, social, and ecological
5. **Regenerative Baseline** — Each cell must produce at least as much as it consumes within one growing season
