# The Cygote Method — Short Version

*200 words. For chat, quick reference, share-cards.*

A single seed is a closed system. Two seeds in tension are an open one. The friction between them generates information that wasn't in either parent. The cygote is the name for that generated information.

**The six phases:**

1. **Seed A** — the exhale. Liminal, soft, receptive.
2. **Seed B** — productive opposition. Archival, calligraphic, structured.
3. **Cygote** — not a blend. A third structure, the moment of contact between A and B.
4. **Image** — depict the *moment of contact*. Not the parents' whole worlds.
5. **Marcotone** — extract image colors, map to frequencies, build a progression that *enacts the friction* (half-step chord collision).
6. **Suno spec** — bilingual title (Latin + vernacular), fragmentary lyrics, 432Hz, 70BPM.

**Three failure modes:** cacophony (too different), collapse (too similar), sterility (predictable).

**Why:** the future of generative art is not bigger models. It's better frictions. The work is in choosing what to put in productive tension.

*FLOS VIOLETUS — the first complete cygote.*
