# Anthrocybernetics V3

## A field-based discipline for coherence, relationship, environment, and nested climate

Anthrocybernetics is a systems discipline for asking how living, social, ecological, and planetary systems maintain coherence while exchanging energy, matter, and information.

It does not claim that a person, a fungal network, a planet, a star, and a galaxy are literally the same kind of thing. It offers a shared diagnostic grammar for comparing them without flattening their differences.

## The one-sentence version

> Anthrocybernetics studies how coupled systems synchronize, receive forcing, cross thresholds, preserve patterns, and route information across nested environments.

## What is new in V3

V3 keeps the V1 philosophical and diagnostic foundation and the V2 operational revision, then adds a **cosmic-weather extension**:

- V1 supplies the Five Fields: Phase, Field, Arc, Form, and Lattice.
- V2 adds the Oscillator Model, dynamic Cascade capacity, the 127-hex substrate, and the Daily Three energy-budget practice.
- V3 applies the Five Fields to five nested climate segments: galactic, local interstellar, stellar/astrospheric, planetary, and ecosystem/soil.
- V3 separates physical claims, testable hypotheses, systems analogies, and speculative interpretations.

The result is a 5 × 5 diagnostic matrix, not a claim that every scale obeys identical laws.

## Start here if you are new

1. Read `index.html` for the visual introduction.
2. Read `five-field-framework.md` to learn the core vocabulary.
3. Read `cosmic-weather-extension.md` for the V3 addition.
4. Read `oscillator-and-coherence.md` for the V2 mechanism.
5. Read `cascade-and-energy-budget.md` for the practical layer.
6. Read `evidence-and-boundaries.md` before making strong claims.
7. Use `practice-and-observation.md` for a small, non-therapeutic observation practice.

## The Five Fields

| Field | Question | Short meaning |
|---|---|---|
| **Phase** | Are the components coordinated? | Timing and synchrony among coupled oscillators |
| **Field** | What surrounds and shapes the system? | External conditions and forcing |
| **Arc** | What crosses a threshold? | Discharge, transition, or transformation |
| **Form** | What pattern persists? | Durable configuration or memory |
| **Lattice** | How does arrangement control flow? | Topology for energy, matter, and information |

## The five cosmic-weather segments

1. **Galactic macroclimate** — the broad magnetic, radiation, and interstellar context.
2. **Local interstellar mesoclimate** — the plasma environment around nearby stellar systems.
3. **Stellar / astrospheric climate** — a star, its wind, magnetic activity, and astrosphere.
4. **Planetary climate** — magnetosphere, atmosphere, oceans, geology, and biosphere.
5. **Ecosystem and soil sub-microclimate** — organisms, roots, fungi, microbes, moisture, and local stewardship.

## The epistemic rule

Anthrocybernetics is strongest when it says exactly what kind of statement it is making:

- **Grounded:** supported by established research or direct measurement.
- **Working hypothesis:** plausible, specified, and testable but not established.
- **Interpretive / speculative:** an analogy or metaphysical extension, useful only when labeled.

Nested systems are not automatically fractal. Cosmic weather is not a demonstrated direct cause of every ecological or human state. “Energy” in the relational protocol is a functional budget metaphor unless independently operationalized.

## The shared cycle

At every scale, the five fields can be read as a cycle:

```text
Phase → Field → Arc → Form → Lattice → Phase
```

A coherent system meets an environment, accumulates or receives forcing, crosses thresholds, forms a new pattern, and organizes pathways that either restore or disrupt future coherence.

## What this is not

- Not a replacement for astrophysics, climate science, ecology, psychology, or medicine.
- Not a claim that metaphor is measurement.
- Not therapy or a diagnostic system for illness.
- Not a license to infer causation from visual resemblance.
- Not a demand to accept the speculative layer in order to use the grounded tools.

## Current status

V3 is a synthesis and operating framework. Its strongest contributions are vocabulary, disciplined comparison, and practical observation. Its cross-scale causal predictions remain open research questions.

*Built as an additive revision of Anthrocybernetics Foundation V2, with the cosmic-weather concept integrated as an explicitly bounded extension.*
