# Core Workbook Build SOP

**Status:** Approved working SOP
**Date:** 2026-07-19
**Parent text:** Anthrocybernetics V3
**Deliverable:** A first-edition, beginner-readable Core Workbook suitable for self-study, facilitation, and future modules.

## 1. Product definition

The Core Workbook is a field guide, not a claim of scientific unification. It uses an accessible, structured reference-book kernel: a clear cosmology of terms, progressive lessons, practical procedures, tables, exercises, glossary, and module-authoring rules. Its visual scaffolds are design choices, not claims about universal human capacity or objective interpersonal measurement.

The narrative uses a deliberate inversion:

- the imagery begins at stellar function and cosmic weather;
- the lessons advance from the individual and immediate environment toward larger scales;
- the closing returns to each individual as a “local star,” meaning a situated source of transformation and responsibility rather than a literal astronomical object or grandiose spiritual status.

## 2. Protected behavior and content boundaries

The Workbook must retain V3’s evidence discipline:

- cosmic weather is grounded in real space-environment phenomena;
- cross-scale analogy is labeled as analogy;
- metaphor is not presented as mechanism;
- no unvalidated relational equation appears in the Workbook; oscillator notation is descriptive only unless operational definitions, units, and a measurement procedure are established;
- Cascade is an optional relational mapping instrument, not an objective diagnostic, hidden score, or universal field measurement;
- personal practices are low-risk, reversible, and non-clinical;
- consent, privacy, and power asymmetries are addressed in relational exercises;
- throttling includes a low-capacity triage exception: protect first and explain later when communication is unsafe, unaffordable, or likely to invite retaliation;
- behavior-first observation is paired with an explicit safety and exploitation gate; it must not normalize coercion, leverage, retaliation, abuse, or repeated boundary violations;
- the five-segment matrix is labeled an interpretive/conceptual scaffold, not a claim that unlike domains share equivalent mechanisms or scaling laws;
- the text does not diagnose, promise healing, or imply that mindset controls external cosmic events.

## 3. Build sequence

### Segment 1 — Architecture and orientation

Deliver:

- `CONTENTS.md`;
- this SOP;
- opening chapter;
- core grammar chapter.

Verify the narrative arc and evidence rule before adding exercises.

### Segment 2 — Five-field lessons

Deliver:

- Phase;
- Field;
- Arc;
- Form;
- Lattice.

Each chapter must include plain-language definition, system examples, a bounded exercise, an evidence prompt, and a short bridge to the next field.

### Segment 3 — Instruments and capacity

Deliver:

- Daily Three;
- oscillator lens;
- Cascade and relational map;
- energy budget and repair.

Keep oscillator notation descriptive unless operational definitions are established; remove false precision rather than decorating it with caveats.

### Segment 4 — Scale transition

Deliver:

- scale-up chapter;
- nested-systems comparison;
- warnings against collapsing distinct mechanisms into metaphor.

The reader should be able to move from a personal observation to a larger system while preserving boundaries and scale labels.

### Segment 5 — Cosmic weather and return

Deliver:

- cosmic-weather chapter;
- five-segment macro-to-micro narrative;
- closing Local Star chapter.

Cosmic weather should function as the opening/closing narrative frame and as a disciplined application of the Five Foci, not as decorative mysticism.

### Segment 6 — Reference and extension

Deliver:

- templates;
- glossary;
- facilitator notes;
- future-module authoring contract.

## 4. Chapter contract

Every instructional chapter must contain:

1. a clear objective;
2. a scale and system boundary;
3. the relevant Five-Foci question;
4. a concrete example;
5. an exercise or observation;
6. an evidence-status check;
7. one practical next action;
8. a transition to the next chapter.

## 5. QA checklist

- [ ] A first-time reader can understand what Anthrocybernetics is and is not.
- [ ] The five foci remain distinct and reusable.
- [ ] The lessons move Micro → Macro.
- [ ] The narrative moves Stellar → Individual and returns to stellar imagery at the end.
- [ ] Cosmic weather is integrated rather than appended.
- [ ] Every analogy is marked or bounded.
- [ ] The cosmic-weather matrix is explicitly conceptual, with no cross-domain physical equivalence implied.
- [ ] Throttling can be enacted under critical deficit without requiring a costly communication step.
- [ ] Behavior-first analysis never overrides safety, boundary enforcement, or disengagement.
- [ ] No public exercise presents a person or relationship as an objective score or ranking.
- [ ] No unsupported therapeutic, predictive, or cosmic-causation claims appear.
- [ ] Exercises are practical, reversible, and privacy-aware.
- [ ] Links, headings, filenames, and contents are consistent.
- [ ] The final folder is synced to zo.pub and the public URL is verified.

## 6. Learner's Edition acceptance checks

- [ ] The canonical kernel is explicitly identified as Chapters 1–16.
- [ ] Learner outcomes are observable rather than aspirational.
- [ ] One ordinary-system case demonstrates Phase → Field → Arc → Form → Lattice.
- [ ] The capstone includes baseline, one reversible intervention, return observation, evidence labels, unknowns, and a privacy/safety boundary.
- [ ] Applied and speculative material is visibly distinct from the canonical kernel.
- [ ] Facilitators have timing, objective, exercise, likely confusion, closing reflection, and take-home observation for each session.

## 7. Completion condition

The build is complete when all 16 chapters exist, the Learner's Edition acceptance checks pass, the contents file resolves every chapter and practice artifact, the QA checklist passes, and the updated workbook collection is live at `https://zo.pub/anthrocybernetics/anthrocybernetics-core-workbook`.
