The next observation that would discriminate between them is… ## Glossary **Anthrocybernetics** — A proposed systems discipline for studying coherence, exchange, feedback, pattern, and relationship across human and nested environments. **Arc** — A threshold, transition, or change in state. It is not automatically a dramatic narrative. **Cascade** — A radial relational map used to represent active connections, load, capacity, and proximity. It is a practical visualization, not a measurement instrument by default. **Coherence** — The degree to which parts of a system remain coordinated enough to function, adapt, or be understood as a pattern. **Cosmic weather** — Changing conditions in space environments, including radiation, plasma, magnetic fields, winds, shocks, and turbulence. **Field** — The surrounding conditions, pressures, resources, signals, and boundaries that shape a system. **Form** — A persistent structure or recognizable pattern across time or scale. **Lattice** — The network of relationships and pathways through which influence, energy, matter, information, or responsibility moves. **Oscillator** — A system with a changing state or rhythm. In this Workbook, the term is a lens and must not be treated as proof that all systems share one physical mechanism. **Phase** — The timing, rhythm, or cycle of a system relative to its conditions. **Local star** — The Workbook’s closing image for an individual who acts from a recognized center while remaining situated, relational, and accountable. The image describes participation and consequence, not exceptional status. **Evidence status** — A label distinguishing grounded observation, working hypothesis, and interpretation. ## Reading map for future modules The Core Workbook establishes a common grammar.
